Skills and qualifications:

  • National Diploma in Engineering or an N4 valid Trade Test in Mechanical/Electrical/Engineering
  • Working knowledge and experience in FMCG environment will be an advantage
  • 3 -5 years’ experience in managing maintenance schedules, maintenance budgets, improvement of maintenance plans and must have route cause analysis technical know how
  • Must have SAP experience
  • Good communication skills, both written and verbal
  • Problem solving skills, team player

Responsibilities:

  • Develop and manage the engineering maintenance schedules
  • Responsible for maintenance data capturing
  • Maintain the engineering master data on SAP
  • Identify and implement improvements to the maintenance processes
  • Coaches and develops the SAP and engineering planning skills of technicians
  • Manage the parts inventory system
  • Maintain accurate inventory records and perform or manage periodic cycle counts and physical inventories
  • Monthly reporting
  • Work with maintenance team and vendors to ensure necessary parts are on hand whilst minimizing overall inventory value
  • Manage work order system

Salary will be R20 000 c.t.c. depending on experience.

The successful candidate will report directly to the Technical Manager and will be based in Wellington.
