Exports Logistics Co-ordinator


Reporting to: Customer Care Manager Department : Global Logistics – Customer Care

Purpose: To manage all aspects of on-time delivery of Customer orders to international and duty free destinations, through control of communication and development of relationships with customer, internal divisions, regulatory bodies and external service providers.


  • Grade 12 plus preferably a tertiary logistics / administration qualification
  • 3 – 5 years’ experience in an export management environment
  • Customs, Import and road freight experience beneficial SKILLS & CHARACTER REQUIREMENTS:
  • Computer skills (MS Office) with experience in the use of relevant SAP modules
  • Excellent administrative and communication skills
  • A clear understanding of relevant market information
  • Ability to function in high pressure environment during peak loading seasons
  • Sound interpersonal relationships
  • Customer orientated
  • Good planning, controlling and time management skills (Ability to prioritise)
  • Attention to detail and accuracy
  • Ability to function in a team
  • An assertive, results-driven individual, who is capable of performing under pressure JOB SUMMARY:
  • Customer communication regarding updates on loading and shipment details
  • Liaising with relevant internal stakeholders to follow up on status of orders
  • Forwarding the relevant documentation to customers within the agreed upon timelines
  • Documentation
  • Processing of documentation as per customer specific requirements
  • Processing of export certificates, customs documentation, relevant certificates, bills of lading and packaging list
  • Liaising with freight forwarders
  • Handling of customer complaints relating to the loading of orders and documentation Preference will be given to EE candidates
