Radford Dale is looking for a dynamic, motivated and organised Marketing Assistant with social media experience and a passion for wine!

PRIMARY RESPONSIBILITIES

Assist Marketing Manager with marketing administration:

  • Preparation of product information sheets for approval.
  • Preparing, collating, scheduling and posting approved content on social media.
  • Completion of documents for tender and show submissions.
  • Updating of website – photos, product sheets, press releases etc.
  • Send out newsletter.
  • Preparing presentations and presentation packs.
  • Ordering Harvest T-shirts.
  • Point of sale purchases (Platter guides, wine bags, 2-packs etc).
  • Organise and attend Trade or Consumer events and functions.

Organise and dispatch trade samples, local and international.

Organise and follow up on all documents / samples sent by courier.

Management of business card levels and order as required. 

Monitor press and maintain press cuttings.

Management of customer database.

Management of marketing supplier database.

Obtain quotations and order sales and marketing support materials approved for purchase by the Marketing Manager.

Manage tasting room stock levels and ensure fridge adequately stocked for tastings at all times.

Perform wine tastings and prepare sales invoices.

Manage staff and customer samples and allocations.

Assist with reception duties including, but not limited to, answering telephones, meeting and greeting customers and visitors, arranging / signing for couriered packages. 

Manage the Boardroom schedule for tastings and meetings.

Manage communication of people movements, company activities, events, visitors etc.

Weekly reporting on activities and projects to the Marketing Manager.

Perform general clerical duties.

KNOWLEDGE AND SKILL REQUIREMENTS

Excellent reading, writing and arithmetic skills required.  This is normally acquired through a high school diploma (Matric) or equivalent.

Fluency in English is essential.  Working knowledge of Afrikaans is advantageous.

Computer literacy, with a working knowledge of Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, Powerpoint) and Social Media is essential.  Microsoft Access advantageous.

Duties require professional written and verbal communication skills as well as excellent organisational, interpersonal and presentation skills.

Drivers licence and own, reliable transport.

Visibility requires maintaining a professional appearance and providing a positive company image to the public.

Passion and enthusiasm for the wine industry and a willingness to learn is essential.

The role requires willingness to work a flexible schedule – involving weekend and / or evening work. Local travel in the domestic market may be required.
