Costing and Sales Assistent Position - Clearing and Forwarding

This role is focused on creating and maintaining effective and efficient coordination between logistics, sales and the financial department for pre and post shipments/sales. The ideal candidate would have experience in administration and or sales with a positive attitude. The internal sales assistant would ideally be the right hand to the sales manager. Therefore, an enthusiastic attitude would be suitable.

Responsibilities and duties:

• Regular liaising with service providers (transporter, shipping lines, packhouses etc.,)
• Rate requests.
• Updating and maintaining database (rates, client profiles and service providers)
• Weekly sales costing (financial/sales assistance).
• Internal and external reporting function.
• Customer quotations.
• General adhoc. (filing, printing etc.)
• Customer relationship management assistance.
• Full assistant function to sales manager.


• Matric with minimum 2 years working experience.
• Basic administration skills.
• Strong knowledge of MS office suite (Advanced Excel skills, preferred).
• Ability to prioritize and meet deadlines in a fast-paced environment.
• High level of confidentiality and accuracy.
• Solid communication and interpersonal skills.
• Customer service focus.
• Friendly, helpful, confident and engaging personality.
• Proficiency in English and Afrikaans.
