our client, a stellenbosch wine estate who have successfully become a leader in wine tourism , is looking to appoint an experienced sales manager. this position will require strong relationship management – both within the team, agent structure & client base. the goal of this appointment is to analyse the current regions, devise appropriate actions plans and execute in collaboration with the sales team.

you will be responsible for
• the national footprint and will be required to travel frequently to all regions.
• plan, execute and monitor the performance of service providers in the different regions
• build/develop key accounts and maintain relationships, including both wine & hospitality offerings
• maintain and lead a team aimed at achieving one common goal through the use of various brand appropriate marketing strategies ie. trade and consumer shows and various wine promotions, tastings and pairings.

you will require:
• a passion for people and enjoy the challenge of sales, outgoing engaging personality, energetic and self-motivated.
• experience in sales, brand establishment, key accounts management, negotiating, relationship building and networking skills
• the ability to travel at least every alternate week (approximately or at least two weeks of every month)
• an understanding of wine tourism and how destination marketing supports the strategic approach
• wine industry experience and qualifications would be advantageous
