Our Client is looking for an experienced executive chef to join their team.

KEY PERFORMANCE AREAS

  • Design new menus for the various departments within hospitality.
  • Operational planning, coordination and implementation of entire Kitchen and preparation area/s.
  • Quality Monitoring: Providing high standard of service delivery
  • Financial Management focused on food cost.
  • Supervise, delegate and mentor kitchen staff according to required activities and required skills.
  • Maintenance: Arrange for equipment purchases and repairs.
  • Recruitment: Participate in recruitment of kitchen staff.
  • Conflict Management: ability to spot and resolve arising challenges or complaints efficiently.
  • Excellent attention to detail: give prepared plates the “final touch”.
  • Perform administrative duties.
  • Comply with nutrition and sanitation regulations and safety standards.
  • Excel in time management.
  • Maintain a positive and professional approach with co-workers and customers.
  • Keep up with cooking trends and best practices.

REQUIREMENTS

  • Tertiary Qualification in Culinary science or related certificate will be an added advantage
  • Minimum 2 years kitchen management experience (Experience in stock orders, control and waste management)
  • Proven working experience as an executive chef.
  • Excellent record of kitchen management.
  • Communication and leadership skills.
  • Working knowledge of various computer software programs.
  • Knowledge and experience in the implementation of catering services (Conferences and weddings)

  • Team-player and Mentor
  • Be highly adaptable and flexible
  • Willing to work long hours when needed
