QC Manager

Kleine Zalze, an award winning wine farm outside Stellenbosch, is looking for a qualified and experienced QC manager to ensure the quality standards throughout the group. The successful candidate must have a BSc Food Science/Microbiology degree or equivalent relevant qualification, with a minimum of 5 years QC experience in a wine producing environment.

 

Repsonsibilities and tasks will include, but not be limited to, the following:

 

  • Development and maintenance of quality management and food safety systems, including HACCP, IPW and assistance with WIETA, Fairtrade and BSCI.
  • Manage and ensure quality by online control testing of all the production processes
  • Record and assist in investigation and solving of client complaints
  • Ensure quality compliance of dry goods, including machine pass of new products, intake QC, etc.
  • Manage labs and QC assistants
  • Supplier and product approvals
  • Supply chain mapping and supplier site updates
  • Developing and maintaining material and product specifications
  • Assistance in new product development and problem solving
