Senior Trader/Commercial Executive


Internationally established Fruit and FMCG Export Company is seeking to appoint a driven and ambitious Sales and Marketing Executive.

We  need a candidate with a solid track record in crafting (and directing) Trade Marketing & Category Management whilst integrating Sales & Planning in a multi-channel environment.  Provide strategic leadership of National & Regional Account Management and operational support to your management team.

The candidate must have an in-depth knowledge of channel management and have gained experience in, ideally a multinational food and beverage business.  Deploy appropriate strategies within the channels of trade and achieve execution of initiatives effectively.  Drive the people agenda to deliver profitable sales growth. 

Proven experience in FMCG product that include fruit, plant protein products, wine and other perishables.

Marketing and selling of the group’s citrus fruit and other FMCG products to existing and new clients on a sustainable basis with the aim of achieving above-average returns.

Procurement and marketing of all fruit to meet new and existing clients’ needs and grow the company’s footprint in the international fruit, wine and FMCG trading arena.

Fulfil the strategic, analytical and planning role to advise the EXCO team of new development in the international industry, market trends and opportunities.

Guide and manage a team of traders to ensure optimal performance whilst building new relationship and increasing sales. Building the company brand and ensure quality product and clients


  • Proven track record of experience and a client base in the fruit, wine and FMCG local and export industries
  • Ability to grow revenue through increased market access and quality of trading relationships
  • Design, implement and manage sales strategies and plans
  • Ability to procure fruit based on the strength of market relationships
  • Advanced relationship management skills across the supply chain
  • Tertiary qualification relevant to the position (marketing, agriculture, business management)
  • 7+ years’ experience in FMCG and or fruit marketing to foreign/local clients in traditional and developing markets
  • Extensive market network including market and retail buyers
  • Knowledge and experience of managing retail programs
  • Fruit supply chain knowledge, from production to end-consumer
  • Management of a sales team
  • Define optimum procurement target
