The successful candidate will report directly to the Head Chef

 

Key Responsibilities:

Adhere to cooking instructions & methods of cooking

Adhere to food safety standards and regulations and Standard Operating Procedures

Minimize waste in area of responsibility               

Ensure health & safety compliance as per regulations

Assist in daily stock takes

Assist with menu planning, ensure variety and quality of servings

Assist Events Manager in all functions/events queries and menu

Criteria:

Matric

Relevant tertiary qualification will be an added advantage

2 -3 years’ experience in the Hospitality industry

Be able to work independently

Well organized team player, eye for detail, energetic and accurate

Possess over good verbal and written communication skills, English & Afrikaans (Xhosa as a 3rd language will be beneficial)

Preference will be given to candidates residing in the area

Must be willing to work on weekends and Public Holidays
