Stock Controller - Dry-Goods Warehouse

A well established Business in the Stellenbosch Wine Region is looking for a Stock Controller to join our highly skilled team.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Update stock records on a daily basis by processing/capturing client receipts, in-house inventory movements and deliveries on NAV
  • Arrange transport for incoming deliveries of dry goods from client suppliers, to ensure stock is delivered within allotted timeframe prior to production
  • Ensure the system accurately reflects each productions bill of materials on NAV and is updated on an annual basis (process specification)
  • Liaise with clients and their suppliers to ensure delivery dates are on track and that shortages are resolved and provide production team with regular feedback of orders status and any stock delivery problems 
  • Maintain and review NAV inventory system (scheduled runs vs purchase orders) and manage losses/returns on a per production basis ensuring any abnormal losses is investigated and root-cause reported. 
  • Ensure the dry goods areas conforms to the HACCP/BRC standards 
    Performs checks against the system to ensure the system stays accurate and production losses are reflected on production runs 
  • Make sure stock take counts are completed timeously, each month, and that invoicing for month-end purposes is submitted to accounts department timeously 
  • Record returnable movements timeously and accurately on NAV
  • Ensure production-run reconciliations are sent to clients after productions and that stock is returned to the warehouse in a neat manner
  • Ensure H&S procedures are adhered to and enforced at all times
  • Ensures that all staff in the department are trained and ensure refresher training is scheduled according to HR matrix


- Matric or relevant qualification in Warehousing/ Stock Control
- 3-5 years experience in a similar position
- Fluent in English and Afrikaans, written and spoken
- Own Transport
- Computer literate (Office, Windows NAV will be an advantage)
- Attention to detail and problem-solving
- Experience in the Wine Industry will be advantageous
- Management skills
