Permanent Tasting Room Manager

Purpose of position

Creating and maintaining lasting customer relationships

Managing and overseeing all aspects pertaining to the Tasting Room

The successful candidate will possess the following attributes:

  • Three or more years prior management experience in the hospitality/wine industry with a proven ability to be an effective, innovative and enthusiastic leader;
  • Ability to source and train casual staff members
  • Exceptional in verbal and written communication
  • Passion for wine and customer service with a strong wine knowledge;
  • Ability to perform multiple tasks while remaining focused and organized
  • Excellent attention to detail and ability to anticipate customer needs and respond appropriately
  • Self-motivated and able to act independently to solve problems as they occur;
  • Ability to multitask between tasting room needs and office administration;
  • Professional, warm and welcoming personal presentation;
  • Ability to work as part of a team
  • Ability and willingness to up-sell & effectively promote and sell wine and Wine Club memberships to guests
  • Organised and detail orientated
  • Strong administration skills will be advantageous
  • An additional language would be advantageous

The candidate must be willing to work weekdays, weekends, public holidays and private events and have their own transport.

Market related salary offered.
