Our client in Paarl is looking for a highly organised, self-driven and proactive Office Administrator / Marketing for their imported capital equipment portfolio.


The successful candidate must have:

  • Matric + a tertiary qualification in office administration and/or in the marketing related field
  • 7-10 years relevant experience – strong administrative background & marketing experience
  • Highly computer literate
  • Junior design skills (photoshop, InDesign, Illustrator – would be an advantage)
  • Excellent interpersonal skills in order to communicate with overseas suppliers
  • Fluent in business English – both verbal & written
  • Excellent organisational skills
  • Able to do presentations
  • Ability to work under pressure and multi-task
  • Ability to follow instructions, take initiative and deliver quality results

The primary responsibilities for this position include:

  • Assist business manager with sales activities at HGM
        • Update weekly call sheets
        • Update client base
        • Log new leads and follow up
        • Sales quotations – Updating sales funnel, creating tender files, request freight estimates
        • Placing orders: creating files, PO’s for supplier, liaise with suppliers, arrange payments to suppliers, invoice customers
  • Liaising with customers/customer support
  • Co-ordinate enquiries and projects:
  • Co-ordinate the flow of information (request for quotations, registering of quotations & marketing data) between salesperson & supplier
  • Confirm estimated project dates and communicate information to all relevant parties
  • Co-ordinate collection of samples and invoicing thereof
  • Follow the complete project process
  • Marketing:
  • Design, develop and implement marketing campaigns – brochures, adverts, invites etc
  • Continuous updating of website – monitoring of new information, press releases etc.
  • Ordering of printed material and other marketing tools
  • Event co-ordination – client days, expos
  • Liaise with PR company
  • Compile presentations – strong power point skills

General Admin tasks

  • Some PA related tasks


Salary: R295 560 per annum, depending on experience.
