Our client, based in the Cape Winelands area of the Western Cape, designs a sophisticated electromagnetic simulation product with a large international customer base. It is important to ensure that the software is of high quality in terms of the interface, accuracy and performance. Keeping up with all the changes in hardware, software and functionality requires excellent quality control processes that include benchmarks, automated testing systems, malicious testing and feature verification. They are looking for an enthusiastic software integrity engineer to join their dynamic development team.

Duties & Responsibilities:

  • Perform quality assurance checks on software features and bug fixes
  • Manage software builds, build tools and support systems
  • Implement automated test scripts
  • Develop test plans

Minimum Requirements:

  • BSc Computer Science or BEng (Electronics / Computers)
  • General knowledge of programming languages and scripting environments
    • Multiplatform (Windows & Linux) experience
    • Python, Lua, JavaScript and HTML knowledge
    • Industrial experience in quality assurance for large software projects
    • Knowledge of CEM (computational electromagnetics)
    • Test-driven development exposure
    • 3D CAD modelling experience
    • MSc Computer Science or MEng
