Pre-season planning:
* Meeting with forwarding agents, shipping lines and fruit 
   business units in planning of next season

In-season responsibilities:
* Send a weekly forecast to the shipping line
* Find sufficient space at shipping lines and manage the 
  allocation
* Update stacks daily
* Updating sailing schedule with transit times and routing of 
  shipping lines
* Comparing shipping line options for POD's and advise fruit
  business units on best shipping options
* Book containers at various forwarding agents and shipping 
  lines for all trades
* Identifying shipping instruction deadlines and submitting the 
  data within the deadline
* Apply for after stacks when required
* Keep a detailed Q67 per vessel, dating any additional costs 
  and problems for future reference
* Load vessels for all trades on Export system
* Tracking and monitoring of containers for duration of voyage 
  to ensure that each container is picked up
* Applying for dispensation at PPECB for special shipments
* Applying for COD/receiver changes at shipping lines
* Assisting in claim procedure
* Communicate with shipping lines regarding problems that 
  may occur
* Organise the transport of containers when necessary
* Organise time slots with cold stores when necessary
* After hour assistance when needed

Post-season:
* Identifying problem areas during season and find solutions

General:
* Maintaining a relationship with shipping lines and 
  transporters

Tertiary Education:
BA degree or similar
