Our Client, situated in KZN, requires a dynamic hotel general manager who can take the family owned Inn to greater customer centric heights, keeping true to the perfect setting and experiences which they encompass through stylish African comfort.

This intimate and beautiful, family owned Four Star Hotel, is situated in the heart of South Africa’s Zulu Kingdom and is the ideal location to explore the array of wildlife and coastal reserves.

The hotel offers 74 guest rooms including three spacious Suites and Junior Suite.  The Inn offers over 550 square meters of indoor function space that combines the stylish comfort of Zululand’s Finest Country Inn with fully equipped facilities needed for any meeting or event. 

 

Key duties, Responsibilities and Requirements

 

 We need an experiencedpresentable and hospitable hotelier.

An individual with experience in a 4 or 5 star hotel environment of a similar size property. 

An individual who is systems driven, is proactive and gets things done.

An individual who is ableto implement new programs and processes and has evidence of having done so in other hotels.

An individual who willbuild a team capable of delivering the preferred key performance indicators required. In addition, being ableto delegate and hold people accountable for their responsibilities.

A business mindset of driving revenues, minimising expensesand increasing profits.

Must be computer literate and preferably be proficient in Opera and Micros.

A plus would be someone who has had experience with working with local communities and launching fair-trade accreditation(not essential).

As part of the review process we check all social media platform comments, reviews and ratings specific to your portfolio hotels and expect an exemplary track record of evidence of ‘going the extra mile' for guests and providing excellent guest liaison service under your period of leadership.

 

Remuneration

 

Negotiable but aiming at around R35’000 to R40’000

This is a live-in position, which includes a meal whilst on duty

Company Provident Fund Contribution (7% of Basic Salary)

Company contributes 50% of medical aid premium through Momentum

Candidates, who are already residing in the Kwa-Zulu Natal will have preference. We can only consider South African Citizens or applicants who hold a valid South African Permanent Residence! No Work Permit applications will be accepted! Applicants, who live in other provinces of South Africa still need to attend personal interviews and if requested to do any trial shifts, will do so completely at their own expense. We handle high volumes of applications daily and will only be able to reply, via e-mail, to candidates who have met our clients’ requirements.
