A Chocolate production company in Simondium is currently looking for a Pastry Chef and would like to invite you to apply for this position.  The Pastry Chef will be expected to complete his/her tasks and manage subordinates where it is needed.

Duties and Responsibilities

The usual activities can be expected and will include, but not limited to, the following:

  • Managing daily operations in the production facility
  • Managing and motivating all pastry team members to work efficiently and effectively
  • Ensuring excellent quality throughout the production facility
  • Organising schedules for production line testing of products
  • Preparing and dispatching samples to customers
  • Monitoring stock levels of the production facility
  • Ensuring all incoming ingredients and supplies are delivered on time, and according to agreed quality specifications
  • Checking quality of material and condition of equipment used in production
  • Reporting all maintenance issues and safety hazards to supervisor
  • Ensuring compliance with Food Safety standards throughout the production facility

Skills and Attributes

  • Good knowledge of chocolate, ice cream
  • Able to recognize superior quality products and flavours
  • Professional disposition with good interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work flexible shifts
  • Positive attitude and good communication skills

Qualifications and Experience

  • Degree in Culinary Arts, Hotel and Restaurant Management
  • 6-8 years of experience in Pastry Cooking or Pastry Chef Experience with high volume food production
  • Own transport


  • Market-related salary
  • Working Hours: Monday – Sunday: 07:00 – 17:00
