Commis Chef de Cuisine wanted for well-known restaurant - Negotiable

The role is made up of many varying responsibilities including:

Assisting in the food preparation process.

Basic knowledge of cooking and preparing high quality dishes.

Preparing vegetables, meats and fish.

Helping with deliveries and restocking..

Assisting other Chefs and ensuring further training.

Ability to produce good quality basic food


Requirements :

Competent level of English spoken and written.

Must be willing to be trained and open for growth.

Experience and knowledge of kitchen equipment.

Knowledge of dangerous equipment such as knives etc.

Basic knowledge of all sections. Assisting with stock rotation, cleaning stations

Ability to work under supervision.

Understanding of basic food hygiene practices and understanding health & safety regulations.

Must be living in the Stellenbosch or Kraaifontein area.

Must have own reliable transport to and from work.
