Leopard’s Leap Family Vineyards in the Franschhoek Valley requires a person with a positive, energetic, and enthusiastic outlook and the ability to function well under pressure to join the Restaurant team.

The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:

  • assist senior Chefs to oversee and co-ordinate day-to-day running of sections
  • prepare food according to specified menus, standards and in line with costing and portions
  • assist with menu planning and creation of new dishes and SOP’s
  • assist with orders and stock control
  • assist in maintaining and improving upon budgeted food cost
  • ensure strict hygiene protocols are followed at all times

Applications are awaited from persons who comply with the following:

  • degree or diploma in culinary arts / formal chefs training
  • minimum two years’ experience as a Commis Chef / similar position
  • excellent interpersonal and communication skills
  • ability to work under pressure
  • ability to take initiative
  • strong attention to detail
  • willingness to work scheduled weekends and Public Holidays
  • sober habits
  • own transport
