We are looking for a passionate & energetic sales person to manage and grow our KZN region in a hybrid role....

Main function

To promote wine & liquor products to potential and existing on-consumption and off-consumption customers and support the supply and distribution of products to customers, in order to grow the customer base and increase sales.

Key responsibilities:

  • Identify and develop new customer opportunities through market research and the distributor’s existing client base.

  • Plan and execute monthly sales call schedules, routes, and servicing cycles in collaboration with distributor sales representatives, particularly within the on-consumption channel.

  • Visit and service both prospective and existing customers across on- and off-consumption channels, independently or alongside principals and/or re-distributor sales teams.

  • Build and maintain strong customer relationships by presenting the product portfolio and educating customers on product characteristics, presentation, food pairings, and consumption preferences.

  • Monitor and evaluate sales performance by customer, product category, range, and individual items to identify trends and opportunities for growth.

  • Prepare and present regular reports on sales performance, promotional campaigns, and incentive programs to suppliers, sales management, and customers, including recommendations for improvement.

  • Achieve monthly, quarterly and annual targets
  • Work closely with on-consumption warehouse buyers to monitor, plan, and control stock levels effectively.

  • Contribute to problem-solving initiatives within the supply and distribution chain to improve efficiency and service levels.

  • Establish and nurture relationships with wine clubs, festival organizers, and other event partners.

  • Attend and host wine dinners, tastings, festivals, and promotional events.

  • Plan and manage in-store tastings to drive brand awareness and sales.


Experience:
Minimum 2 years sales experience. Liquor trade experience would be advantageous

Requirements:
Own vehicle is a must
