De Toren has a harvest intern position available. From November 2024 to May 2025.
The position will expose you to quality and organic viticultural and winemaking practices.
Responsibilities include but not limited to:
- Sampling
- Data Capturing
- Grape intake and pressing
- Yeast Propagation
- Pump-overs and punch-downs
- Wine additions
- Balling readings and capturing
- Working extended hours as needed and on weekends
- Racking
- Barrel work
- Cleaning and Sanitation
- Team Management
Skill requirements:
- Reliable transport
- Degree or diploma in winemaking
- Ability to work under pressure and prioritise tasks
- Sense of humour
During harvest days breakfast and lunch will be served
