We are looking for a capable and experienced Front of House Manager/Assistant Manager to join our new restaurant in Elgin. If you’re passionate about hospitality, thrive in a high-energy environment, and have strong leadership skills, this could be the perfect opportunity for you.
Key Responsibilities:
- Overseeing daily administrative duties and store operations
- Coordinating events and functions, ensuring clear communication with guests and management
- Providing exceptional guest service and acting as a point of contact on the restaurant floor
- Ensuring daily pre- and post-shift checklists are completed and properly filed
- Continuously reviewing operations and staff performance to identify opportunities for improvement
- Managing stock and inventory systems on Lightspeed
- Monitoring staff punctuality and maintaining a strong floor presence during service
- Explaining the menu to customers – an interest and understanding of food preparation, produce and sustainability is key.
What We’re Looking For:
- 2-3 years of experience in a similar role, ideally in a high-volume restaurant
- Strong leadership and team management skills
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and Word
- Proficiency in Dineplan and Lightspeed POS
- Analytical mindset with strong problem-solving abilities
- High attention to detail and a process-driven approach
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills
- Ability to multitask and work efficiently under pressure
- Integrity, discretion, and strong decision-making abilities
- Must have reliable transport to and from Elgin
- Hours - Wednesday to Sunday - 8.00 - 17.45 pm
