La Motte Wine Estate in the Franschhoek Valley requires a passionate Junior Pastry Chef to join the Bakery team.
The successful candidate will be responsible for the following:
- work closely with the Head Pastry Chef to create innovative desserts, pastries, and confectionary items
- continuously explore new techniques, flavours and trends in pastry-making to keep menu fresh and exciting
- assisting with inventory and stock management
Applications are awaited from persons who comply with the following:
- degree or diploma in culinary arts
- minimum 2 years’ experience in a similar position
- knowledge of a variety of pastry and confectionery techniques and trends
- ability to function as part of a team
- ability to work independently and take initiative
- ability to work under pressure in a fast-paced environment
- willingness to work on weekends and public holidays
- own transport
