Assistant Guest House Ambassador | Pure Guest House Hout Bay - TBC on Application

We are looking for a young, energetic Assistant Guest House Ambassador to join our dynamic front of house team at Pure Guest House.

We require someone to assist our Guest House team with the required guest relations and to live in the guest house 24/7.

Inherent Requirements:

• Degree or equivalent in Hospitality Management
• Worked at Least one year in a similar Guest House
• Certificate in First Aid/Fire Fighting/Health and Safety, would be advantageous
• Background in Front Office and Reservations
• Background in Restaurant would be advantageous
• Valid Drivers License advantageous
• Fluent in English
• Fluent in German would be advantageous

• The ability to remain calm and professional when under pressure
• Strong interpersonal skills
• Excellent verbal and written skills
• Must be professional and a team player
• Sustainable quality and attention to detail

Main Responsibilities:

• Prepare and serve breakfast
• Supervise Housekeepers and Gardeners
• Guests check-in and check-out
• Guest feedback reporting (TripAdvisor, E-mails, etc.)
• Concierge services (Booking of restaurants, transport, etc.)
• Follow and enforce all Health and Safety processes and procedures whilst maintaining the privacy of all guests
• Living in the Guest House and being there for guests when they need anything.

Qualifications and Experience:

• Minimum of 3 years' experience in a similar position.
• Basic understanding of hospitality and guest house operations.
• Matric or equivalent qualification.
• Competent in using the MS Office Suite.
• Valid driver’s license with a clear driving record.
• Clear criminal record.
• Ability to work under pressure, multitask, and remain calm in emergencies.
• Strong communication and interpersonal skills.

South African citizenship is advantageous. A valid work permit, Visa and Passport is essential if you are not a South African citizen.
