Our client, a premium and distinguished estate in Franschhoek is seeking an experienced Sous Chef to join their team.
The ideal candidate has experience in providing an elevated and elegant dining experience, must have solid leadership and culinary skills, a stable track record, enjoys fast paced and constantly changing challenges with a passion for hospitality and cooking.

In the SOUS CHEF role you would be expected to assist with managing and directing the kitchen operations and staff, assist with menu planning and costing recipes, food consumption, strict stock controls, stock management, stock movement, rotation and ordering and supplier liaison, excellent control of food cost, wastage and kitchen preparation, staff development and disciplining, setting up and managing SOP’s, ensuring the team has high standards of food hygiene and follow the rules of health and safety.

Position Requirements:

• Diploma in Food Production and Cooking
• At least 5 years in a Sous chef role, in a high-end kitchen operation / environment
• Matric Certificate
• Valid driver’s license
