Our client, a successful and forever growing FMCG concern, is looking at employing a Key Account Manager to join their team.

The position is Western Cape based, with twice weekly meetings at the Paarl office. You will work closely with the Operations Manager and be open to guidance and mentorship yet have the confidence and experience to work independently.

The position requires an individual with extremely strong administrative skills, strong business acumen and excellent communication skills. 

Duties and responsibilities (but not limited to)

  • Relationship management
  • Sales forecasting, growth opportunities and development strategies
  • Manage promotions
  • Negotiate contracts, pricing and terms
  • Track sales, analyse data and prepare reports
  • Ensure compliance with food safety regulations and supply chain management best practices
  • Problem solving

Requirements

  • Tertiary education in business, sales, marketing, supply chain management or a related field
  • Minimum 3-5 years experience in key accounts management, sales or client facing roles. Food manufacturing would be advantageous
  • Must be able to travel frequently within South Africa
