Groot Phesantekraal, a renowned wine estate in the heart of Durbanville, is offering a unique and hands-on Harvest Internship opportunity for 2025.
What you’ll do:
As a Harvest Intern, you will work closely with our cellar team to ensure a successful harvest and optimal wine production. Your duties will include, but are not limited to:
- Grape receival and processing
- Additions to must and wine
- Racking of must and wine
- Monitoring fermentation progress
- Performing pump-overs and punch-downs
- Barrel work (filling, topping, and maintenance)
- Maintaining cellar hygiene and cleanliness
This is an exciting opportunity for individuals eager to gain valuable experience in a fast-paced, hands-on winemaking environment. We are seeking candidates who are proactive, enthusiastic, and ready to take on diverse tasks.
What we’re looking for:
- A tertiary qualification in Viticulture, Oenology, or a related field.
- Previous harvest experience is essential.
- Own transportation
- A strong sense of teamwork and reliability.
- A passion for winemaking and a hands-on approach to learning.
