Qualifications & Experience

  • Grade 12 with relevant tertiary education
  • Minimum of 2 years experience within fruit export industry preferred, in a product coordinator role
  • Business Central and Produce Linc experience beneficial

Job Description

The main purpose of this role is to form the link between commercial and logistics within the company and provide operational and logistical support to the commercial team.

Duties and Responsibilities

  • Provide a 4 week rolling plan to freight forwarders for vessel and shipment planning
  • Set up pack plan master with commercial team in order to create a demand plan for suppliers
  • Allocate stock according to fruit traders’ instruction and provide shipping instruction to all relevant parties
  • Expedite cargo delivery to customer
  • Provide input to the weekly shipping plan to ensure efficient delivery of cargo
  • Monitor and ensure least cost distribution strategy is always followed
  • Monitor and troubleshoot cargo delivery to customers point of delivery
  • Monitor stock levels and ensure minimum dwell time in port
  • Provide one off documentation instruction to freight forwarding company and answer queries
  • Monitor cargo ETA’s and provide timeous telex releases
  • Effective communication with product suppliers
  • Any other relevant function as required from time to time, in a product coordinator role

Remuneration

Market related, depending on experience and knowledge.
