This family owned and managed wine estate is situated in the celebrated Franschhoek Wine Region. This 80-seater Restaurant is a modern, open space set in the Manor House garden amongst ancient oaks. The Restaurant caters for relaxing lunches, special dinners shared amongst friends and provides the perfect venue for celebrations. The menu is designed for sharing and complements the quality wines available from the Estate.
 
We are seeking a dynamic Kitchen Manager with a strong culinary and operational skill set, passionate about food and cooking, quality driven, excellent leadership abilities, stable and able to perform under pressure. Previous experience with high-end catering beneficial.
 
The key role will be to oversee and manage the overall Kitchen operations, which also includes catering for special niche events. Key duties will be menu engineering, costings, waste management, recipes design, inventory control and effective staff management & development and health and safety.
 
POSITION REQUIREMENTS:
 
• A formal Culinary Education beneficial
• Minimum of 3 years‘ experience as a Head / Sous Chef in an upmarket restaurant environment
• Stable and solid track record
• Valid driver’s license and own reliable transport
