Job Description:

Le Lude Estate, renowned for its world-class Cap Classique wines, is seeking an enthusiastic and dedicated Assistant Winemaker to join our dynamic team.


Key Responsibilities:

• Assist with all aspects of winemaking, from harvest through to bottling.

• Handle daily cellar duties, including cleaning, equipment maintenance, and wine management.

• Take accurate grape samples and assist in analysis to ensure wine quality.

• Communicate effectively with the cellar team and management, ensuring smooth operation of all winemaking processes.

• Assist in administrative duties, including completing SAWIS documentation.

• Solve problems quickly and efficiently to maintain the production schedule.

• Participate in trade events and assist with marketing efforts, requiring excellent people skills.


We are looking for someone who:

• Has a passion for Cap Classique and a strong desire to learn and grow in the industry.

• Is hardworking, motivated, and willing to go above and beyond, especially during harvest season.

• Has at least 2 years of experience in winemaking or a related field.

• Is highly organised, with a strong attention to detail and a proactive attitude.

• Has the ability to work long hours in a close-knit team environment.

• Possesses strong communication skills and enjoys engaging with people, both in the cellar and at public events.
