Etel Winery was established in 2016, the first and currently only winery in the area. The property is nestled in the mountains overlooking the Mediterranean sea. Planted with 8 French varieties, the vineyards cover just about 4 hectares. An exciting new opportunity has opened up and we are looking to employ a full time senior cellar hand / vineyard hand to assist in the entire winemaking process, from pruning to bottling. He/She will be working in a small team, directly under the winemaker’s supervision to create top quality boutique wines.
The successful candidate will be responsible for but not limited to the following tasks:
Undertake all vineyard work including pruning, trellis management and maintenance, spraying, canopy management, suckering, canopy management, irrigation management and of course harvest activities. The candidate will also be working in the winery assisting with all aspects of winemaking including but not limited to cellar hygiene, sample taking, additions, harvest activities, racking, blending, barrel work, filtering, bottling, labelling and more.
Job requirements:

Willingness to relocate for at least 1 year contract

Prepared to work in all weather conditions if needed

Willingness to work extended hours during harvest season and other peak periods

Current driver’s license

Good level of health and fitness to be able to complete tasks

High level of English language skills is necessary

3 Harvest seasons at a winery

Pruning and viticulture experience will be advantages

Studies or degree in Viticulture and Oenology, plant biology or relevant field will be preferred but sufficient experience will also be considered
