Estate Farm Manager/Viticulturist

Boutique Estate in Franschhoek is looking for a passionate and dynamic Farm Manager to join our team. Our ideal candidate is an excellent communicator, eager to work and learn and dedicated to meticulous farming practices.

The Farm Manager will run the farm, assisting our current farm manager/viticulturist in executing the upkeep of the estate, equipment and vineyards, managing the farm team, maintaining records and assisting with vineyard production activities.

This role requires a hands-on approach, a passion for farming and meticulous attention to detail.

Requirements

• Tertiary qualification in Agriculture will be beneficial
• Sound knowledge of estate management and vineyard and olive farming with at least 2-3 years’ experience in a similar field.
• Strong management skills
• Computer literacy
• Good record keeping and organisational skills
• Ability to multi- task and work under pressure
• Valid drivers license
• Physically fit to complete all physical aspects of this role
• Fluent in English and Afrikaans (Xhosa an advantage)

• Oversea estate, accommodation and garden maintenance
