Pastry Chef: Opening Team of a Bistro-Style Restaurant (Durbanville)

We have an exceptional opportunity for a qualified and passionate PASTRY CHEF to join the opening team of a new Bistro-style Restaurant, strategically located in Durbanville. The restaurant serve mainly lunch and dinner in a refined yet inviting and relaxed ambiance.

We are looking for a talented individual with at least 3 years pastry chef experience in a high pressure environment, experience with stock control and monitoring portion and waste management. Own transport and valid driver’s license beneficial.

As a Pastry Chef, you will work closely with the Head Chef.  You will be responsible for operating the pastry section of the kitchen and assist in planning production, develop season offerings, recipe engineering, stock control and waste management.

Position Requirements

• Formal Culinary / Pâtisserie Qualification  
• Minimum of 3 years pastry chef experience 
• Own reliable vehicle and driver’s license beneficial 
• Highly organised and detail-oriented with an unwavering passion for the arts of pastry
• Stable track record
