HR and Compliance Manager

A multi award winning Stellenbosch winery, Stellenrust, is creating a vacancy for an HR and Compliance manager.  Core responsibilities will include ensuring that the company complies with labour and employment laws, regulations, and industry standards. The responsible person will also manage employee relations, company policies, and both external and internal audits. 

Applicants should have a sound knowledge of HR related labour laws and will be well equipped in compliance of wine and food industry standards including FSSC, Fairtrade, WIETA and IPW certification. The successful applicant will

  • Create and maintain policies: Develop and update policies and procedures to keep the work environment and employment practices aligned with the law
  • Ensure compliance: Make sure the organization and its employees are following the policies and procedures, and enforce them when needed
  • Audit records: Periodically audit records to ensure ongoing compliance
  • Provide guidance: Offer guidance on all compliance matters related to employees, contractors and certifications
  • Improve processes: Evaluate, recommend, and implement improvements to current processes
  • Maintain standards and certifications:  ensure compliance and certification of FSSC, Fairtrade, WIETA and IPW standards
