My client, a prestigious 5-star establishment located in the Helderberg/Somerset West region, has an exciting vacancy for a Reservations Assistant. The ideal candidate will have experience in a 5-star or similar establishment, preferably within an international hospitality group.

The successful applicant should bring a strong blend of interpersonal skills and industry knowledge, dedicated to creating enjoyable and memorable experiences for guests.
Responsibilities include but are not limited to:
- Managing and processing reservations efficiently to ensure guest satisfaction
- Responding to guest inquiries promptly and professionally via phone, email, and other communication channels
- Maintaining accurate records of bookings and guest preferences using Opera and other hospitality systems
- Coordinating with FOH and Operations teams to ensure seamless service delivery
- Handling guest complaints or special requests with professionalism and a focus on resolution
Criteria:
- Minimum of 2 years’ experience in a 5-Star Hotel or similar environment, preferably within an international Hotel Group
- Proficiency in hospitality computer applications, including Opera
- Excellent communication skills in English (speak, read and write)
- Strong attention to detail
- Confident, energetic, professional, with a friendly personality
- Focused on delivering excellent guest service
- Well-groomed with a polished appearance
- Able to handle pressure and multitask effectively
- Willing to work flexible hours based on business needs
