Junior IT Technician - (Agriculture)

As a Junior IT Technician, you will assist in maintaining and improving our IT Systems, ensuring smooth operations across farms and agricultural entities.  You will work with hardware, software and network solutions tailored for modern farming.

Duties include but not limited to:

• Maintain new and existing desktop infrastructures (PC’s, networks, laptops, printers, telephone systems, point of sale systems, software etc.)
• Install, configure, upgrade and maintain wireless, copper and fiber networks and systems
• Internal & External support to all entities (office and farm visits)
• Day-to-day support in terms of IT queries and resolving software & hardware related issues onsite and remotely
• Keeping abreast of the latest technology and tendencies
• Assist with asset registration and daily admin tasks

Requirements:

• CompTIA A+, CompTIA N+ or relevant IT qualification with at least 1 year’s IT Infrastructure and operations experience
• Communication & time management skills
• Excellent understanding of network technology
• Advanced functional knowledge of Microsoft operating systems, Microsoft Office and Apple Mac
• Willing to travel extensively and working outside of normal office hours from time to time
• Willing to work in rural and farm environments
• Ability to work independently
• Valid code B driver’s license
