A prestigious high-end Wine Estate located in the heart of Franschhoek, Western Cape, South Africa, is seeking a visionary and experienced Global Sales Manager to lead our sales team and drive our business to new heights. Key Responsibilities includes but are not limited to:
- Develop and implement comprehensive global sales strategies to achieve business objectives and drive growth in both local and international wine markets.
- Create and lead a dynamic sales team, fostering a culture of excellence and continuous sales improvement.
- Identify and capitalize on new business opportunities to expand and grow the Estate's brand within the national and global wine industry.
- Drive the On-Con (On-Consumption) and Off-Con (Off-Consumption) sales markets, aiming to double increase sales in the next 1-3 years.
- Establish, develop and expand the Estate's ecommerce database to enhance online sales and customer engagement across all markets.
- Drive the strategic sales plan thought the Estate and work closely with various departments to ensure seamless operations and alignment with overall business sales goals.
- Monitor sales performance, analyse data, and implement corrective actions to ensure targets are met and exceeded.
- Utilize strong financial skills to manage budgets, forecast sales, and ensure financial targets are achieved across all markets.
- Perform groundwork in the interim as the business grows, ensuring a hands-on approach to achieving sales targets.
- Demonstrated success in sales within the wine industry, with strong market connections/ data base.
- Create and maintain meticulous processes and documentation to ensure exceptional administrative performance
Required Skills and Qualifications:
- Bachelor’s degree in business administration, Sales and/or Marketing degree/diploma, or a related field.
- Extensive knowledge of the premium wine trade, with a minimum of 10 years of experience in sales management, including at least 5 years in the South African Wine Industry.
- Demonstrated success in achieving and exceeding sales targets in the wine industry.
- Proven Track Record:
- Strong analytical and problem-solving skills to drive data-informed decisions.
- Proven ability to manage budgets, forecast sales, and achieve financial targets across all markets.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills to build and maintain relationships with clients and team members.
- Proven leadership skills with the ability to develop, inspire and motivate a sales team.
- Highly organized with exceptional administrative abilities, capable of managing multiple tasks and priorities.
