Tasting Room Ambassador - Paarl

Our client, on a prestigious Estate outside of Paarl, is looking for a Tasting Room Ambassador to join our team. This role is perfect for someone passionate about wine, hospitality, and creating unforgettable guest experiences. 

Tasting Room Ambassador - Reference: HA016

Key Duties and Responsibilities:

• Welcome and engage guests with warmth and professionalism.
• Provide exceptional customer service, ensuring every guest enjoys a memorable tasting experience.
• Maintain cleanliness and organization of the tasting room and surrounding areas.
• Work closely with the team to ensure seamless operations during peak hours.
• Uphold restaurant and tasting room policies and procedures.
• Assist in planning and executing special events and group bookings.
• Handle transactions and perform daily cash-ups accurately.
• Assist with stock management, including stock counts and replenishment.

Requirements and skills

• Grade 12 or equivalent
• WSET or Cape Wine Academy qualification or relevant wine education will be beneficial
• Passion for wine and strong knowledge of winemaking, varietals, and food pairings
• Strong organizational and problem-solving skills with the ability to work independently
• Excellent customer service skills and communication skills to effectively engage with customers.
• Willingness to work weekends, public holidays and occasional evening events.
• Ability to manage and prioritize tasks, follow instructions correctly with strong attention to detail, ensuring accuracy and precision in their work.

Summary:

• Must reside in or around Paarl or have own transportation.
• Must be able to work shifts, including public holidays and weekends.

Remuneration will be market-related.
