Vacancy: Chief Financial Officer

Wildeklawer is Africa’s largest onion producer and a key supplier of potatoes, carrots and beetroot to local markets. Headquartered in Barkly West near Kimberley, Wildeklawer operates across three dynamic production units. Through innovative farm design and precision farming technologies, we have established ourselves as pioneers in the African fresh produce industry.

We are now looking for a Chief Financial Officer (CFO) to join our leadership team and help guide Wildeklawer into its next chapter of growth.

Key responsibilities:

• Overall financial management and reporting of the business
• Strategic input and financial direction to the Board of Directors
• Leading strategic initiatives, including ERP cloud migration
• Management of the finance team and oversight of accounting functions
• Liaison with auditors and preparation of financials for audit
• Responsible for budget process and ensure overall budgetary control
• Development and monitoring of internal control systems
• Management of relationships with financiers
• Compilation and interpretation of management accounts
• Provide timely and relevant information to management to aid decision-making
• Improve the effectiveness of the business via the optimisation of profit centres
• Profit centre optimization and business improvement

Requirements:

• Chartered Accountant (SA) designation required
• Minimum of 10 years’ experience in a similar role, preferably in agriculture or food production
• Experience with Microsoft Navision and Jet Reports will be advantageous
