We are looking for an enthusiastic and well-presented Tasting & Sales Assistant to be the face of KWV Emporium, where we offer premium tastings, food pairings, and guided cellar tours. If you are an outgoing individual with a love for people and fine beverages, we’d love to hear from you.
Minimum Requirements:
- Grade 12
- Fluent in English
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Neat, professional appearance and a customer-focused attitude
- Friendly, confident and outgoing personality
- Ability to work weekends, public holidays and at events
- Basic computer literacy
- Reliable transport to and from work
- Ability to stand for long periods and lift moderate weight ( e.g. wine boxes)
Skills Required:
- Prior experience in a tasting room, hospitality, retail or customer service
- A passion for wine and the hospitality industry
- Professional, neat and approachable
- Comfortable speaking in front of groups and engaging with diverse visitors
- Basic computer literacy and admin skills
- Fluency in English, additional languages such as German, French or Italian are a strong advantage
- Previous experience in wine or tourism industries is beneficial
- Basic knowledge of wine production or WSET Level 1 certification
Job Summary:
- Welcome guests and provide memorable tastings, pairings and cellar tours
- Conduct cellar tours with enthusiasm and in-depth knowledge of our products and production process
- Promote and sell our wines and other offerings with confidence and charm
- Handle point of sales transactions and manage basic administrative duties
- Maintain a clean, organized and inviting tasting room environment
- Represent the brand with professionalism and hospitality at all times
- Assist with restocking, inventory checks and preparation for events
