Seeking a passionate Viticulturist for a short-term assignment, regeneratively farmed vineyard in the mid-Atlantic (USA) region.
This is a unique opportunity to work with own-rooted Syrah, Cabernet Sauvignon, and Mourvèdre vines and contribute to innovative, sustainable winegrowing practices. The ideal candidate will have hands-on experience with fledgling vine planting and a strong desire to push the boundaries of regenerative agriculture. Must be willing to relocate for the remainder of the US summer and possess a can-do attitude.
Responsibilities: Assist with all aspects of summer vineyard management with a focus on regenerative principles. Monitor vine health and implement organic disease and pest control strategies. Participate in canopy management, irrigation, and soil health initiatives. Contribute to data collection and record-keeping for vineyard experiments. Develop skills in operating agricultural drones for vineyard spraying, photogrammetry, and analysis. Contribute to the ongoing development of the vineyard technology platform.
Qualifications: Demonstrable experience in vineyard work, including planting new vines. Experience in a biodynamic and/or organic vineyard setting is highly preferred. Familiarity with sap analysis for plant health monitoring is a significant plus. A keen interest and foundational knowledge of regenerative agriculture. Ability to work independently and as part of a small, dedicated team. Must be physically fit and able to work outdoors in various weather conditions.
