SAWIS’ purpose is to assist the wine industry by turning data into information that helps turn challenges into opportunities. A vacancy exists within Information Services for a suitably qualified individual. Reporting to Manager: Information Services, the successful candidate will be responsible for:
- Data collection, management, analysis, processing and quality assurance
- Handling of enquiries
- Administrative tasks
- Client service and liaison
- Ad hoc tasks
Requirements
- Tertiary qualification equivalent to N6 with accounting and mathematics.
- A minimum of 3 years of relevant experience within the wine industry or agricultural sector.
- Experience in statistical analysis will be advantageous.
- Comprehensive knowledge of all SAWIS data capturing processes.
- Proficient in the Mapper system, with the ability to perform manual functions.
- Advanced level of proficiency in Excel.
- Ability to use MS Office effectively.
- Strong numerical skills and the ability to interpret and analyse data accurately.
- Insightful in identifying discrepancies or errors in statistical data.
- Strong attention to detail.
- Excellent communication skills (English and Afrikaans).
- Time management skills and client focused.
- Good interpersonal relations and ability to remain calm under pressure.
- A positive, self-disciplined, energetic, professional and assertive individual.
- Ability to function independently and as part of a team.
