Warwick Wine Estate is looking for a capable, detail-oriented Logistics Manager with solid experience in the wine or liquor industry. This key role oversees inventory, production planning, procurement, warehousing, exports, and supplier coordination. We’re seeking a hands-on, solution-driven professional who thrives in a dynamic environment and takes ownership of systems and processes.

Minimum Requirements:

  • Bachelor’s degree in Logistics, Supply Chain Management, Business Management.
  • At least 5 years’ logistics/supply chain experience in wine, liquor, or FMCG.
  • Minimum 3 years’ hands-on experience in:
    • Demand forecasting and production scheduling
    • Procurement and supplier negotiations
    • National distribution and export logistics (incl. freight forwarding, documentation, SARS/SAWIS)
  • Strong knowledge of ERP systems such as WineMS, EzyWine, and Business Central.
  • Familiarity with quality and food safety standards (e.g. BRC, HACCP, ISO) is beneficial.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Forecasting demand and scheduling production accordingly.
  • Planning and procuring dry goods and packaging materials.
  • Managing national and international logistics and distribution.
  • Engaging with customers and logistics partners, as well as cross-functional internal collaboration.
  • Management of the logistics team.
  • Optimising inventory levels to reduce wastage and ensure accuracy.
  • Working closely with suppliers, freight forwarders, and internal departments.
  • Improving operational processes and team efficiency across the supply chain.
  • Ensuring compliance with export regulations and quality standards.
  • Contributing to system and process improvements within existing platforms.
