Kendrick Recruitment is currently on the lookout for a skilled and passionate Pastry Chef / Baker to join a prestigious luxury estate nestled in the heart of Franschhoek. ? ? Salary: R16,500 – R20,000 (Negotiable, DOE)
? Location: Franschhoek | Western Cape
? Key Responsibilities:
?? Prepare a wide range of pastries, breads, desserts, and baked items to the highest standard
? Assist in the design and development of dessert menus and bakery offerings
? Ensure consistency in taste, quality, and presentation across all baked goods
Manage baking schedules to ensure timely preparation and delivery
? Maintain top-notch cleanliness and hygiene standards in the pastry section
? Oversee stock control and assist in ordering baking supplies as needed
? Collaborate with the Head Chef and kitchen team to support overall culinary goals
Requirements:
? Minimum 3 years’ experience in a similar pastry or baking role within a luxury environment
? Formal culinary or patisserie training preferred
? Strong technical skills in baking and dessert preparation
? Creative flair with a keen eye for detail and presentation
? Ability to work independently as well as part of a team
? Flexibility to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays as needed
