Kendrick Recruitment is currently seeking a talented and motivated Sous Chef to join the culinary team at a stunning luxury estate in the heart of Franschhoek's winelands. ? This is an ideal opportunity for a passionate chef who thrives in a high-end, fast-paced environment and brings creativity, leadership, and precision to the kitchen.

? Salary: R17,000 – R19,500 (Negotiable, DOE)
? Location: Franschhoek | Western Cape

? Key Responsibilities:
?‍? Support the Head Chef in the daily running of kitchen operations
?‍? Take charge in the Head Chef’s absence and ensure seamless service
? Maintain impeccable food quality, presentation, and consistency
? Assist with menu planning, food costing, and stock control
? Ensure strict adherence to health & safety standards
?‍? Lead, mentor, and train junior kitchen staff
? Monitor stock levels and support supplier and ordering processes

Requirements:
? 3–5 years’ experience in a similar role within a luxury or fine dining environment
? Formal culinary qualification or relevant training
? Strong leadership, communication, and team coordination skills
? Ability to perform under pressure while maintaining attention to detail
? A genuine passion for food, innovation, and hospitality excellence
? Willingness to work shifts, weekends, and public holidays
