Haute Cabrière, based in Franschhoek, seeks a dynamic individual to lead sales and marketing for its wine ranges and hospitality offering locally and abroad. The role involves building brand equity, growing market share, and creating innovative, customer-focused campaigns to drive sales and long-term brand growth, requiring strong problem-solving, organisational, and team-cohesion skills.
The successful candidate will be responsible for (but not limited to): **Strategic Sales Leadership, including budgets, strategies, campaigns, merchandising, and global brand and market development *Coordination and management of the sales and marketing team, as well as external partners *Ensuring accurate and consistent branding, brand experiences, and brand touchpoints in line with brand strategy and business goals *Product strategy and positioning in collaboration with the wine production team *Trade marketing and collaboration to strengthen market presence *Growing export markets and achieving local sales goals *Management, strategy, and coordination of marketing and sales strategies and campaigns for the Estate, Restaurant, Event Venue, and Cellar Door *Overseeing all marketing platforms to ensure the website, online sales, e-communications, and social media support business goals and enhance the brand experience *All other tasks related to this role.
Essential qualifications, skills, and experience:
- A Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Sales, Business or related field;
- Wine industry certifications will be advantageous;
- At least 5 years’ experience in a similar role OR 7 years’ experience within the wine retail industry;
- Proven success in sales & marketing leadership with the wine, FMCG or luxury goods sectors;
- Strong knowledge of local and international wine markets & consumer trends;
- Experience in working with multi-touchpoint campaigns across trade & direct markets;
- Ability to work with existing platforms as well as to streamline & optimise department systems (True Data, Microsoft Office Suite, Power BI, & Bynder).
