Benguela Cove Wine Estate, situated on the banks of the Bot River Lagoon just outside of Hermanus, are looking for interns for the 2026 harvest. We specialise in cool climate, site specific winemaking. You will have the opportunity to work with various white and red cultivars while assisting with MCC, white and red wine production.

Ideally, we are looking for candidates that have the following characteristics:

  • Willing to work long and hard hours
  • Positive attitude and willingness to learn
  • Strong leadership skills and ability to manage a team
  • Someone that values teamwork
  • Attention to detail
  • We rely on our interns to help manage harvest activities, so we expect them to be trustworthy and responsible individuals
  • Experience will count in your favour, but a can-do attitude is of more importance

Responsibilities:

  • Receiving grapes and managing crush pad
  • Lab analysis
  • Additions
  • Pump overs and punch downs
  • Racking
  • Barrel work
  • Ensuring cellar hygiene is maintained at the highest level
