Saronsberg Cellar, situated in Tulbagh, South Africa, are currently looking for harvest interns for the 2025 harvest. Saronsberg handles +- 550 tons of premium grapes of which 70% are red varietals and 30% white. We handle most of the normal cultivars (17 varieties), although we are considered a Shiraz specialist and focus on the Rhone varieties.
Our focus is to produce premium wines and do so consistently.
Willingness to work overtime and weekends where necessary is important.
Dates:
Start: End of January 2026
End: End of March/Early April 2026 (subject to vintage variation)
Key Responsibilities:
Interns will be involved in, but not limited to:
- Grape intake, quality control and processing
- Fermentation management (inoculation, temperature control, pumpovers and punchdowns)
- Daily cellar operations, including racking, pump-overs, pressing and barrel work
- Equipment cleaning and maintaining high hygiene standards
- Vineyard sampling where necessary
- Following all winery’s protocols accurately
