We are looking for a seasoned and passionate Tasting Room Manager to take ownership of the guest journey at the IDIOM Tasting Centre. This is a leadership role that demands a confident, service-driven professional with a deep appreciation for fine wine, exceptional interpersonal skills, and a proven ability to lead and inspire a team in a high-touch, fast-paced environment.
As the face of our estate, you will be instrumental in shaping and enhancing the tasting room experience, driving sales performance, and upholding the highest standards of excellence across all guest touchpoints.

Key Responsibilities:

Lead the day-to-day operations of the tasting room, ensuring an elevated and seamless guest experience

Recruit, train, and lead a team of hospitality professionals, fostering a culture of excellence, accountability, and continuous improvement

Deliver premium, personalized wine experiences through expert storytelling, product knowledge, and warm hospitality

Collaborate closely with the sales, marketing, and events teams to support estate promotions, private functions, and targeted sales initiatives

Ensure optimal presentation, stock control, and functionality of POS systems and merchandising

Manage guest feedback, group bookings, and VIP engagements with professionalism and attention to detail

Monitor and report on sales performance, team productivity, and visitor trends, providing strategic insights and recommendations to leadership
Candidate Profile:

Minimum 3–5 years of experience in a hospitality, tourism, or wine-related management role
- Wine qualifications such as WSET Level 2 or Level 3 (or equivalent) are the minimum requirement to lead the team.

Strong leadership and team development capabilities with a hands-on, service-first mindset

Excellent communication, organizational, and problem-solving skills
