Commis Chef - R10 000 negotiable

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  • Ensure the preparation of all food items according to recipes and standards;
  • Assist with deliveries;
  • Complete daily checks of all mis-en-place to ensure freshness and quality standards;
  • Maintain proper rotation of products;
  • Have knowledge of all menu items, daily features and promotions;
  • Ensure cleanliness and maintenance of all work areas, utensils & equipment;
  • Follow kitchen procedures & service standards;
  • Follow all safety & sanitation policies when handling food & beverages.

REQUIREMENTS:

  • Culinary diploma/Certificate;
  •  Preferably 1 – 2 years previous experience as a Commis Chef in 5-star restaurants;
  • Availability to work within opening hours;
  • Good interpersonal & communication skills;
  • Attention to detail;
  • Able to be productive & efficient;
  • Self-disciplined;
  • Ability to cope under pressure;
  • Flexibility & accountability.
