Position Overview
As a Cellar Door Ambassador, you will be the face of our winery, providing exceptional hospitality and showcasing our rich heritage to visitors. You will welcome and guide guests through tastings, sharing the stories behind our renowned wines, while ensuring every visitor leaves with a memorable Rustenberg experience.
The role also includes key back-of-house duties such as stock-takes, assisting with orders, maintaining tasting room standards, and supporting sales. Full training and estate material will be provided, but candidates must be proactive in learning and confidently communicating information to guests.
While weekend and public holiday availability is essential, we are especially looking for candidates with strong weekday availability to help cover week shifts during the busy season.
Minimum Requirements

Matric and a post-school qualification (preferably in wine, hospitality, tourism, or marketing).

At least 1 year’s experience in a cellar door/tasting room role or other relevant wine industry experience.

Driver’s License and own transport (non-negotiable).

A genuine passion for wine and the ability to share this with enthusiasm.

Bilingual: Fluent in English and Afrikaans (additional languages an advantage).

Well-presented, professional, and able to represent the Rustenberg brand.

Strong attention to detail and adherence to procedures.

Flexibility to work weekends and public holidays.

Remuneration & Details

R73.00 per hour.

No commission, overtime, or weekend/public holiday rate applicable.
